For me, Joe Pesci would be perfect as the voice of Jaxxon.
I did the same thing over at SW.TOR, Master Ki-Aaron. A user asked "If you could, what would be the one thing that you would change in the Legacy of the Force Series?"
My reply: "Jaxxon gets elected Chief of State instead of Daala."
One of the responses was that not only would it make more sense, but it would be totally amazing as well.

Thanks for linking to this, Mr. Butler! While I've only listened to maybe the first half so far, the audio drama seems very well-done, both in terms of technical quality, and with its script's embellishments on the original comics.
Jaxxon's voice is certainly in the ballpark of what I would have imagined it to be. However, I think I'm most impressed by Sergi-X's voice, which seems spot on.

Actually, it's interesting that the question of how Jaxxon would sound has been asked:
A rather large group of Star Wars fans, myself included, are part of the voice cast for a large Star Wars fan audio drama project called "Star Wars: Marvels," which adapts (with some tweaks and such here and there) the Jaxxon era of the Marvel stories into audio drama form. The first episode, starring Jaxxon, was released a while back.
http://www.starwarsfanworks .com/marvels.html
Note: There are 12 episodes total, the first of which is out at the moment. The cast list gets a LOT longer by the time all is said and done. It actually breaks the record my team and I set with the first SW fan audio drama online (Second Strike) back in 2002.

How do you imagine Jaxxon sounding?
Bugs and Eastwood rolled into one.

How do you imagine Jaxxon sounding?
In comparison to you, I think I hear him more like Bugs Bunny... I'd describe it as Bugs with an edge. But enough of an edge that I can't hear him saying, "Eh, what's up, Doc?" in the voice I'm imagining.
Sort of like if you took Bugs's voice and pushed it until "I ain't no rodent!" felt appropriate. I don't know if that makes any sense, but, in your words, there it is.

@ Master Ki-Aaron-Mundi: How do you imagine Jaxxon sounding? I 'hear' Jaxxon as sort of a smart-mouthed Western gunslinger who just happens to deliver his wiseacring with a Bugs Bunny-esque flair (this last bit, IMHO, really comes through in the writing). The gunslinger bit, I guess, comes from the fact that Jaxxon always seemed to have more of an edge than Bugs, what with his explosively violent overreactions every time somone called him a 'rodent'. So I imagine a gruffer voice- not gravelly like Watto, but he's got that underlying edge to him that lets you know that he's a bit of a loose cannon.
It probably makes no sense, but, well, there it is.

JaxxonvoiceWhat you've got here is your basic Jaxxonus fanthreadius.[/Jaxxonvoice]
Now, the funny thing here is, we've never actually heard Jaxxon's voice. But "Jaxxonvoice" definitely kicked in in my head when I read this.
I think someone over on TF.N forums suggested that once Daala crashes and burns, Jaxxon should be the next Head of State.
Which I'm all for.

I love that How to Draw feature as Jaxxon looks so much like Bucky O'Hare.
Hell, a friend of mine thought he was Bucky O'Hare!

Sorry, couldn't resist.
On a (slightly!) more serious note, HECK YES! If we could get more Jaxxon, I'd be a happy man. Heck, if you could throw Jaxxon, Jar Jar, and Wicket W. Warrick into one wacky adventure together, I could die perfectly content.
Seriously, who WOULDN'T want to see the insanity a Lepus carnivorus, a Gungan, and an Ewok could inflict upon an unsuspecting galaxy together? It'd be so freaking trippy and nuts, it'd make the Tales stories look SANE by comparison.
The worst part? I'd honestly PAY to see that.

It's nice to see Jaxxon getting some Easter love...
First with the egg diorama, then the How-to-Draw.
Perhaps this marks the beginning of a slew of Jaxxon features on StarWars.com?

Yeah, I've seen it around a lot too. But remember that " he-who-shall-not-be-named is best buddies with GL and is making Episodes VII-IX" is a widespread belief too.

The thing about Lucas forbidding more Jaxxon....my
guess is that it's not true, just someone's wishful
thinking.
Either way it is a widespread belief, I have encountered it on multiple web sites.

Jaxxon Fans! Stand up and Be Counted!
Don't you mean HOP up and be counted? (snicker) (chuckle)
Why would GL seek to bury Jaxxon, and yet inflect those damned Ewoks & Gungans on us?
